Gardaí have confirmed the news after an incident occurred earlier today. It is reported that it happened during the Fanad Head loop at stage 15. Today is supposed to be the final day of the three-day event.

The rally is one of the biggest in the country and attracts thousands of spectators to the county.

The Donegal Motor Club released a statement earlier today to outline that "the matter is currently being dealt with." A further statement will be released later today.
