We've never been ones to hold back on the fact that RTÉ know damn well how to produce a stirring montage to accompany our finest sporting moments.
Their choice of music to accompany John O'Shea's goal in Gelsenkirchen was a high point for us but they may well have just gone and bettered that with the montage that will be played at the Sports Person of the Year awards on Saturday to celebrate Conor McGregor's achievements this year.
He may not be everyone's favourite to win the award but when you see the magnitude of what he's done in 2015 squeezed into one minute and nineteen seconds, it's certainly a compelling argument as to why he should win the award this time around.
That's not taking anything away from the likes of Michael Conlan who deserve every plaudit they get but for capturing the public's imagination like he has, McGregor certainly deserves to be in with a shout of taking away that award on Saturday night.
