This week's edition of the Joe Rogan Experience featured UFC women's bantamweight champion Miesha Tate, and she was in the mood to dish some gossip.
Tate is well known for her long-standing beef with Ronda Rousey, which peaked during the season in which both fighters were coaches on the Ultimate Fighter. The general consensus after that season was that Rousey did not come out of it looking very good, and sure enough, Tate was more that willing to offer a further example to prove that idea.
Paige VanZant was expected to fight at UFC 200 but had to instead focus on her appearance on 'Dancing With The Stars', but something she did way back in the aftermath of UFC 193 resonated with Ronda, and she let her know at the first opportunity.
That is insane.
You'd have to think a few fighters are checking their timeline to recall what they said after that fight.
As far as VanZant goes, she seemed fine with Tate spilling the beans on their conversation as she made a brief statement to TMZ confirming that the story was true.
It appears that I offended Ronda by congratulating Holly after her victory. The incident was very shocking and totally unnecessary.
Ronda sounds like an intense individual, and it will be interesting to see if she has a take on what went down, although we are still awaiting news of when she will return to the octagon.
