Nate Diaz has not had much to say in recent weeks as we have heard so much about Conor McGregor's "civil war" with the UFC top brass, and amongst all the hysteria over the Dubliner's hypothetical fight with Floyd Mayweather, not much has been said about the future of Nate Diaz.
Diaz's stock is at an all-time high following his submission victory over McGregor at UFC 196, and yet he is content to wait for the rematch to take place. He told us as much at the UFC 200 press conference as he bluntly revealed that it was McGregor or nobody, but Diaz cleared up a lot of the questions since that day in an interview with Ariel Helwani.
Typically blunt, yet brilliant stuff from Diaz.
August is still believed to be the month where the rematch is most likely to take place, and after that McGregor will almost certainly have to defend his featherweight title should he wish to retain it.
Those hoping for the Mayweather fight should not hold their breath.
