On yet another enjoyable episode of The MMA Hour, Ariel Helwani had Daniel Cormier, Jon Jones, and Ovince Saint Preux all present to discuss the old and new main event at UFC 197.
While Daniel Cormier made it known that he was willing to let Saint Preux train with his team in order to best prepare to face Jones, and the man who that offer was made to politely declined it, and Jon Jones then came on to lend his view on the new main event of UFC 197, and what he had gone through since he last appeared on The MMA Hour seven days ago.
Jones called Cormier a coward for his offer to OSP, and claimed that such a gesture was proof that he would do anything to avoid fighting him, but when asked what had been going through his head while he was in jail, he had a very strange reply:
"So clearly... No sweat." - That's not what he said, Ariel...
In all seriousness, Jones' comments are going to piss people off for not taking his time in jail seriously, or something else that people will be pissed off with, but however it is taken it was a very strange call.
That joke may have killed in person, but over the phone... Not so much.
