Daniel Cormier was taunting Jon Jones during the second round of their light heavyweight title fight at UFC 214 as he looked to be implementing his game plan effectively and seemed unbothered by what his bitter rival was throwing his way... But then things escalated quickly.
Despite not getting the better of the early exchanges, Jones threw up a head kick that caught Cormier off guard and essentially ended the fight after he smelled blood and went in for the kill.
In his interview with Joe Rogan after the fact, Cormier admitted that he had no idea what happened, and it's easy to see why.
Incredibly, Jon Jones called out Brock Lesnar after dispatching of Cormier, claiming that he'd kick the WWE superstar's ass despite weighing 40 pounds less.
It's clear that the new champ knows what he wants next, but for DC, it remains to be seen if he will continue fighting after conceding that Jones had ended their rivalry by winning both fights.
It didn't go his way for the whole fight, but Jon Jones came up big with a game-changing moment and walked out with his hand raised and a belt around his waist.
Jonny Bones is back.
