In the world of MMA podcasts, there are a few that stand out above the rest.
You've got 'The MMA Hour' with Ariel Helwani, a three-hour (despite the name) weekly interview show that regularly features the biggest names in the sport and offers incredible insight into to the minds and lives of fighters, you have 'The Fighter And The Kid' with Brendan Schaub and Bryan Callen which offers a much more fun take on current events in MMA, and then you have the Joe Rogan Experience, which isn't strictly an MMA podcast at all but regularly focuses on the sport (it is Joe Rogan's podcast after all) and is one of the most popular podcasts full stop.
So what happens when all three podcasts collide? Entertainment.
Ariel Helwani invited Bryan Callen and Brendan Schaub on to 'The MMA Hour' this week, and they were conducting the interview from Joe Rogan's studio as they were waiting to also appear on 'The Joe Rogan Experience', and after Rogan heard Schaub making a Shawshank Redemption reference he wasn't thrilled with, he jumped in to the interview and make it truly memorable.
After showing off his own strain of marijuana called 'Joe Rogan OG', he then expressed his admiration for Ariel Helwani, something the show's host was not sure he felt, but he also asked Ariel to clear up the confusion surrounding his firing from Fox, and now we know the full story.
Skip to 2:00:30 below for Joe's arrival.
That was fantastic.
Helwani thought that Rogan hated him, but that couldn't have been further from the truth and now we're probably going to get Ariel on Joe's podcast.
Amazing.
