Jose Aldo must think he's back in Dublin again. The featherweight king may be calmness personified but even he has showed signs of irritation at McGregor's antics and that really culminated in his trip to Dublin ahead of UFC 189. There wasn't a chance to return this time around but that doesn't mean Aldo has been able to avoid McGregor's ever partisan fanbase.
McGregor mania has decamped to Vegas this week and the first chance we got to see the travelling Irish fans came at last night's open workouts. As tends to happen, it didn't take long to turn into the McGregor show.
But before it was time for the interim champ to take to the stage, the rest of UFC 194's stars were up, including Aldo. While the likes of Chris Weidman and Luke Rockhold enjoyed the atmosphere, the reception for Aldo was slightly less welcoming.
The Brazilian got through a quick workout before a Q&A that saw the Irish fans in attendance interrupt once or twice to ensure that Aldo knew what he was going to be up against in terms of the crowd on Saturday night. It wasn't quite Dublin press event levels of ire but there were still plenty of verbal jibes thrown from the Irish crowd.
Then it was on to McGregor and slightly more thorough workout for the Dubliner who was looking relatively well considering his gruelling weight cut. After the training session it was on to his Q&A and the fans wen't predictably crazy with óle, óle, óle being heard for one of many, many times this weekend.
The full workout is also here if you want to take a look at the slightly bizarre movement training that Ido Portal has brought to McGregor's workout.
