Alexey 'The Boa Constrictor' Oleinik lived up to his nickname at UFC Phoenix as he stunned those who tuned in to the prelims with a submission never before seen in the UFC.
While Oleinik has won via 'Ezekiel Choke' no fewer than nine times before, this is the first time we have seen the submission used successfully in the UFC. And it was from bottom mount. Daniel Cormier was taken completely by surprise as Viktor Pesta tapped just shy of three minutes into round one.
Jon Anik quickly revealed that it was the first of it's kind in the UFC.
An early contender for submission of the year, utterly ridiculous forearm strength as Oleinik once again pulled off a choke rarely seen in no-gi grappling.
Holy smokes. Early sub of the year candidate by Aleksei Oleinik. Ezekiel choke from bottom the bottom while Viktor Pesta was in mount. Wild.

Oleinik actually baited Pesta into going to mount. That’s some crafty stuff.
