The UFC 197 press conference took a little while to get going, but once he arrived a very extravagantly dressed Conor McGregor wasted no time in letting everyone know that he expects to make light work of Rafael Dos Anjos.
Some UFC fighters have expressed their disapproval of the manner in which Conor McGregor's fights are being determined, as it seems that though his every wish is being granted.
That's because.. Well, his every wish IS being granted, as rather than fight Frankie Edgar and defend his featherweight title, McGregor asked for a title fight with Rafael Dos Anjos, and Dana White allowed it. White answered a direct question as to why the Irishman is allowed to map out his future.
Fair enough.
If you continue to say you are going to do something, and then continue to do it, you can call the shots.
The press conference was enjoyable, and very interesting to see Rafael Dos Anjos react to McGregor's insults and mental warfare. It certainly did the job of hyping up a fight.
