Conor McGregor weigh-ins are usually when social media floods with posts concerned with how 'gaunt' the Dubliner looks as he dehydrates himself to cut to featherweight, but this time we knew it would be different, and it certainly was.
You can listen to our UFC 196 preview on our daily sports podcast, The Racket:
While Nate Diaz weighed in at 169 lbs, Conor McGregor weighed in at 168, and he looked absolutely buoyant as he strutted accross the stage to face-off with his opponent, before laughing at his belly.
In a quick interview with Joe Rogan, McGregor again expressed his belief that champions should be able to go up and down in weight, before taking another comical jab at Diaz:
We've said it before, we'll say it again, this is going to be spectacular.
McGregor certainly looks to be in better shape, which is understandable as Diaz accepted the fight on short notice, but Stockton's finest can't be taken lightly.
All that's left to do now, is wait.
