Conor McGregor has shocked the MMA world by knocking out Jose Aldo and becoming the UFC Featherweight Champion of the world... in this video of the new EA Sports UFC Xbox One game.
McGregor came out in typical aggressive fashion from the start, controlling the centre of the Octagon. Aldo let fly with his trusty leg kicks, but “The Notorious” managed to check a couple of them.
The champ got cocky after landing flush with a head kick and shot in for a takedown, only to be knocked back with a devastating body kick. McGregor followed up with another body kick and a huge uppercut that rocked “Scarface”.
Another thunderous head kick from the Irishman dropped Aldo to the canvas and McGregor got into mount position and finished the fight with his ground and pound to earn the TKO victory and become the first Irish UFC champion in the history of the promotion.
The game goes on worldwide release tomorrow and if its realism is to be trusted, Ireland may have its first UFC champion sooner rather than later.
Judging by McGregor’s response to the video on Twitter, he was impressed with how his computer generated likeness dispatched of one of the pound-for-pound greatest fighters on the planet with ease.
