The Conor McGregor and Ronda Rousey love-in is showing no sign of stopping after the the UFC interim featherweight champion steeped more praise on the female fighter, this time at his own expense.
McGregor told SI now about an encounter with the women's bantamweight champion and when asked whether he or she was the better pound-for-pound fighter in the UFC, the Dubliner said:
I swear on my life her back muscles were the most solidest back muscles I'd ever felt in my life,
I thought if this lady was to get a hold of me, she would throw me on my head in literally one second flat.
So I would not like to engage in a clinch fight with Ronda.
After he expressed his admiration for Rousey, McGregor's humility ended and he said he'd still find a way to win the fight.
McGregor is currently coaching Team Europe for the Ultimate Fighter and Rousey will defend her title against Brazilian number seven-ranked fight Bethe Correira at Rio de Janeiro at UFC 190 on Saturday.
