Brock Lesnar has heaped praise on "super beast" Ronda Rousey but stated the UFC women's bantamweight champion is a "super athlete in a weak division".
The former UFC Heavyweight Champion is back with the WWE and currently promoting the pay-per-view event Summerslam. Yesterday he said that WWE Chairman Vince Mahon is a better promoter than Dana White and also gave his opinion regarding Rousey when he appeared on ESPN.
Rousey is arguably the biggest star in the UFC and she extended her unblemished MMA record to 12-0 earlier this month when she took just 34 seconds to knock out Bethe Correira at UFC 190. Only a solitary fight in her career has lasted longer than the first round and unless a fight with Cris Cyborg can be negotiated, it's hard to see who can give Rowdy a realistic challenge.
Lesnar himself was a dominant force in the octagon and won his Heavyweight title via a TKO on Randy Couture in just his fourth professional fight. He said that he's amazed at Rousey's ability to juggle such a successful MMA record with her busy schedule outside of the UFC. However, Lesnar claimed her dominance at 130 was also her biggest problem.
He said,
I think she's a super athlete in a weak division, I really do.
She is a man amongst women in the women's division.
However the professional wrestling star insisted he's a huge fan of Rousey and continued,
I'm not taking any talent away from her at all,
But I just think she's a super freak, a super beast in the women's division
Here's the video of the interview, Lesnar is asked about Rousey around five minutes in.
