What is it with UFC and t-shirts?
It just never seems to go down well anytime a new shirt is added to the UFC store, but today when a new line of "stick figure" t-shirts were launched, the reaction has been overwhelmingly negative.
These are the shirts that fight fans are calling "disastrous" and "unrealistic", while others are taking great enjoyment in laughing at how bad they are:
While the Reebok fight-kit took a heavy amount of criticism for its bland design and high price, and then the 'UFC Ireland' fiasco which sparked outrage on social media, it seems that Reebok had nothing to do with these, rather these are made in-house by UFC.
MMA fans are not happy, and a thread over at r/MMA has been ruthless, and rather funny, in it's critique of the simplistic design:
They're going down like a lead balloon.
Unless they were actually aiming for the "so bad they're funny" demographic, but that's a tad niche for the UFC we expect.
What do you think of them? Will you be buying one? Will you be buying one as an ironic gift for your friend who trains in one of those disciplines?
