It's fairly clear at this stage that Conor McGregor is able to sell a fight on his own but that doesn't mean the UFC media machine is going to take their foot off the accelerator when there's record breaking PPV numbers to chase.
UFC 196 is now just over a month away and with Conor McGregor making it known that he was less than delighted with some of the marketing efforts for the big night, we can only assume the UFC's video editors were listening to the golden goose.
Speaking at the first press conference for the fight a couple of weeks ago, a graphic designer was faced with the prospect of being 'eliminated' by the Dubliner. That wasn't going to happen this time around. The official posters may see Rafael dos Anjos and his belt front and centre but when it comes to the UFC's first lengthy preview for the lightweight title fight, you better believe McGregor was being put forward as the main draw.
That's not to say anyone is putting Dos Anjos in a corner of course. After Dana White and Joe Rogan laid out just how big a challenge awaits McGregor, the highlights of the Brazilian's fearsome striking ability really do speak for themselves.
