It's that time of year where we look back on the past twelve months and begin to think, how the hell did that only happen this year?
Case in point, Joe Duffy's UFC debut. While it seems like Duffy's chance to make a name for himself has been on the horizon for quite some time now, it was only back in March that the Donegal man made actually made his bow in the UFC. While the year may not have ended on the note that he would have wanted it to, he's still undefeated and that means he's riding high on UFC.com's list of ten best newcomers in 2015.
Two fights, two first round stoppages and his biggest test to date awaiting him on January 2nd in the form of Dustin Poirier. He may not hit the headlines as often as Conor McGregor but there's no doubt that his ability in the Octagon has him marked out as one to watch in 2016.
Duffy is joined on the 2015 newcomers list by the likes of Makwan Amirkhani, Sage Northcutt and, the obvious number one, Holly Holm.

According to UFC.com;
Duffy’s Octagon debut against Jake Lindsey could not have gone better, as he halted his foe in less than two minutes, and he added a Performance of the Night submission of Ivan Jorge that has fight fans eagerly awaiting the New Year and his UFC 195 clash with Dustin Poirier.
3. Sage Northcutt
The 19 year old Action Man/Ivan Drago hybrid may look like he was created in a laboratory but it seems that's a pretty good formula for being a very impressive fighter.
2. Tom Breese
The extremely accomplished Englishman finished off his season with a resounding victory over Cathal Pendred at UFC Dublin.
1. Holly Holm
Three UFC fights with one of them being a KO victory over Ronda Rousey, there was only going to be one number one here. And while we're at it, here's that song once more because why the hell not.
