While the fighters may consider themselves to be UFC celebrities, some of the States' biggest A-Listers have moved in on their turf, by being given the opportunity to invest in the company following its recent sale. The news was announced on Conan O'Brien's talk show on TBS, cleverly titled 'Conan'.
There are few Youtube channels more entertaining than Conan O'Brien's, and one of the best of the videos in said channel is his Clueless Gamer slot with Conor McGregor. Conan is customarily funny, while McGregor comes across as very likeable.
Conan's affection for UFC has persisted, and he revealed this week that he is one of a number of celebrities who have bought a small (well, tiny) stake in the Company following its recent sale.
O'Brien revealed that his management company offered him the chance to join the ranks of the UFC celebrities, along with Ben Affleck, Tom Brady, Serena Williams, Maria Sharapova, Adam Levine, and Noted Friend Of The Site Mark Wahlberg.
Conan's stake is tiny - around $40 - and then went on to say that he's going to step into the Octagon to take on McGregor, Ronda Rousey and Maria Sharapova, who appears confident that she'll have a free afternoon that day. Who knew she had nothing to be at.
You can watch the announcement below:
We're not sure entirely how serious a scrap it will be. If it is serious, McGregor may give Jay Leno a job covering for a badly-bruised Conan for a few months.
Also, in case you missed it, Jimmy Fallon's lauding of McGregor's comic timing is also currently residing in this week's 'McGregor and Late Night American talkshow hosts' Venn Diagram.
