We'd suggest that even if the UFC decided to go down the cheap route and stick a load of rookies on the UFC 194 card, they'd still make some decent money on December 12th. But given that they're aiming for some record PPV numbers, it would make sense to stack the card with some quality.
It looks like that's exactly what they are doing because the co-main event was announced overnight and it's a doozy. The featherweight title won't be the only one on the line that night as Chris Weidman will now defend his middleweight title against number one contender Luke Rockhold in a bout that fans have been looking forward to for quite a while.

Weidman is undoubtedly one of the biggest stars in UFC and this fight would easily headline almost any other card. However, the fact that it has been added to UFC 194 just goes to prove that Dana White and co. are looking to make this one of the most memorable nights in UFC history.
