It may have been downgraded from a pay-per-view event to a 'Fight Night' but Stephen 'Wonderboy' Thompson still delivered a performance worthy of someone shelling out cash.
Saturday night's Fight Night Las Vegas was initially titled UFC 196 (that's the new designation for Conor McGregor vs Rafael dos Anjos' card). However due to both Cain Velasquez and Fabricio Werdum pulling out of a heavyweight title fight, Johny Hendricks vs Stephen Thompson was promoted to headline fight and the event lowered in status.
The welterweight bout between Hendricks - a former champion in the division - and Thompson did not disappoint.
Thomspson finished Hendricks just 3:31 into the fight, with one of his trademark spinning kicks doing the main damage before finishing off the 32-year-old Hendricks.
