Bannon's story is one of grit and hard work, as she balances being a single mother with full-time training and fighting.
"We're so close because it's just me and him," Bannon about her son Jayce.
"There has been times where I'm away a lot more, I'm doing a lot more media than I'd normally do so in between my sessions I'm here there and everywhere so I haven't got to spend as much time with him.
"I still do spend a lot of time with him but it's been reduced and I know that he's feeling that because every night he's like 'you're not going training are you mama? Please don't go training'. So he's feeling it as well, as a child he's going through different stages of development and everything else, the emotions."
