In some alternate universe out there, the main event of UFC 200 earlier this month was Robbie Lawler defending his welterweight title against Conor McGregor.
Back at the turn of the year this is exactly what Team McGregor was pushing for. The Rafael Dos Anjos fight for the lightweight title was set and a win there would leave the Dubliner a simultaneous two division champion - but why stop there?

Speculation was suggesting that McGregor might have his heart set on being the first three division champion in the history of the sport. Obviously the injury to Dos Anjos and McGregor's subsequent defeat at the hands of Nate Diaz put laid to those plans but what would have happened had McGregor laced up his gloves against Lawler a couple of weekends ago?
According to the welterweight champion, it wouldn't have gone well for the Irishman. When asked about the possibility of bout between himself and McGregor, Lawler suggested that he would "steal" McGregor's soul.
Speaking to Fox Sports' UFC Tonight recently, 'Ruthless' elaborated on his soul-snatching threat.
He asked me a question and I was like 'why are you bringing this guy's name up?
It kind of irritated me so I just told him what I thought about the situation and his last fight and I don't think he should be mentioned with me because I'm not like everybody else. I'm a little different.
Lawler will have another chance to showcase exactly how dangerous he is this Saturday when he defends his welterweight championship and attempts to steal Tyron Woodley's soul in the main event of this Saturday's UFC 201 card from Atlanta, Georgia.
