After a nine-month absence, Randy Orton returned to the WWE last night for Chris Jericho's 'Highlight Reel' at WWE Battleground.
Orton was on hand to discuss his upcoming SummerSlam clash with Brock Lesnar - who it was announced last week failed two drug tests surrounding his win over Mark Hunt at UFC 200.
Accused by Jericho of fearing Lesnar, Orton wasted no time in laying into his summer opponent, with a not-so-thinly-veiled barb aimed at The Next Big Thing's out-of-octagon activities:
I've known Brock for 15 years so I know at SummerSlam that he's going to slam me, suplex me pillar to post, all the while with a smile on his big ugly mug. I know he's going to suplex me over and over and over again. 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20 times even? What is it about 20 suplexes, that's how many it takes to get to Suplex City, right?
Well it only takes one RKO to get to Viperville. No enhancement needed.
That certainly whets the appetite for August.
Ironically, Orton has violated the WWE's own Wellness Policy twice throughout his career. More amusingly still, he destroyed Jericho with an RKO last night, seemingly for the shits and giggles.
