Paul Redmond has been cut by the UFC. The Dubliner fought just twice for the promotion.
Redmond made his UFC debut in January when taking a fight against at two weeks' notice against Mirsad Bektic.
Normally a lightweight, Redmond unsuccessfully attempted to make the cut to featherweight, weighing in three pounds over the limit. He would forfeit part of his purse as a result and also lose the fight by unanimous decision.
His second fight was also a defeat, this time to Robert Whiteford at Fight Night Glasgow in July. That loss came by KO three minutes into the first round.
Overall, the 29-year-old is 10-6 in his MMA career.
He tweeted earlier regarding the UFC's decision.
Ah well, was fun while it lasted....
