Paddy Holohan is an absolute legend.
A man who truly loves the sport of mixed martial arts, is allergic to bullshit, and values little more than draping the Irish flag over his shoulders on his way to the Octagon, Paddy really is a man of the people.
After his fight with Louis Smolka was bumped up to the main event of UFC Fight Night 76 due to an unfortunate amount of drop-outs, the Irish crowd let Holohan know how much they loved him, and while the fight didn't go how those in attendance wanted, he still had the arena laughing and cheering with his post-fight interview.
Dan Hardy posed the question 'What next for you?' after the second round stoppage, and rather than trot out the usual 'I'll get back to training and come back stronger' line that has now become a cliché, Paddy gave everybody in the 3 Arena a lift with his reply:
We said he values little more than draping the Irish flag around his shoulders, but surely tea is right up there.
