Predictions are a big thing for those in the SBG camp, as having stunned mixed martial arts fans around the world on more than one occasion with their ability to accurately predict the manner of a victory in the past, most notably that against Jose Aldo, their pre-fight calls have more weight to them than others.
Owen Roddy is the man tasked with getting Conor McGregor's striking where it needs to be for his bout with Floyd Mayweather, and master-minding a gameplan for the Irishman to do what it's clear the vast majority feel he simply cannot.
After confirming the news that we all wanted to here; there will be an SBG Charlestown vlog giving us a look at what goes on behind the scenes, Roddy told Ariel Helwani on Monday's episode of The MMA Hour that not only was he fully confident that Conor would win, but that he'd put Floyd away.
It think [Conor McGregor] is gonna put him away. I think he's gonna KO him.
It'll take a couple of rounds, and I know my phone is about to explode, but look, Conor does these things. He does these exceptional things all the time, if he says he's gonna go in and knock him out, he's gonna go in and knock him out.
I think mid-fight, a couple of rounds in, we need to see what Mayweather is gonna be coming with. I mean, they're short rounds, three minutes, so you're only finding your feet in there and then it's a round over. But I think Conor has an exceptional ability to read fighters and read where they are going and what they do, and he can do it really, really quickly.
I think it's just about him figuring out where Mayweather's gonna be on a certain shot and then putting in the appropriate shots to catch him. Look, I've no doubt in my mind he's gonna do it.
I think this is gonna be one of the most insane fights ever.
Conor hits like a middleweight, ask any of the middleweights in our gym, he hits as hard if not harder. He has cat-like reflexes, he's so quick in his slips and his pulls, he's very accurate as well...
I think he's gonna slip and fire, and then Mayweather will be on wobbly legs. That's what I see in my head.
If you expected anything other than total confidence, then you must not be familiar with Conor McGregor and his team.
It's a bold prediction from Roddy, who knows that people will scoff at what he has said just as they have done from the moment this fight was first rumoured, but he was very eager to express the fact that Conor, and everyone in the team, cares little about what other people think in that respect.
