After 728 days without stepping into the Octagon, one of the UFC's most feared fighters made his return to action last night in Tampa, Florida.

Khabib Nurmagomedov was originally scheduled to fight Tony Ferguson on the UFC on Fox 19 card. However, Ferguson was forced to pull out due to fluid in his lung.

In came UFC newcomer Darrell Horcher as a replacement. The fight was also moved to a catchweight of 160 lbs.

Nurmagomedov made short work of Horcher.

With 1:23 remaining in the second round, the referee stopped the fight after Nurmagomedov mounted his opponent and unleashed an uncontested barrage of punches.

Previous to last night, the Dagestani's last UFC fight was in April 2014 against current lightweight champion Rafael dos Anjos. Nurmagomedov won that bout by unanimous decision.

Last night, the undefeated Nurmagomedov - now 23-0 - told dos Anjos that they have some unfinished business.
