In an interview with Severe MMA on Tuesday, Neil Seery said he expected his next fight to be announced in the coming two or three weeks.
News of his next match-up has come much quicker than he asserted.
The Dubliner will take on Kyoji Horiguchi at UFC Rotterdam on May 8th.

This is a huge opportunity for the 36-year-old. Seery is 3-2 in the UFC. His last bout was an impressive submission win against Jon delos Reyes in Dublin back in October.
Now, he gets to take on Horiguchi who is ranked number six in the flyweight division.
The Japanese fighter is 5-1 in the UFC. That single loss was in a UFC 186 flyweight title fight against Demetrious Johnson.
Bar Conor McGregor, this probably the biggest bout for an Irish fighter in the UFC ever.
Beyond Seery, there is also further Irish interest at UFC Rotterdam. SBG fighter Gunnar Nelson is also on the card as he faces Albert 'Einstein' Tumenov.
