Neil Seery's fight with Ian McCall at UFC Belfast this weekend has been cancelled due to the Californian coming down with an illness.
The bout, scheduled as the top fight of the prelim card, was slated to be the final one of Seery's MMA career.
Ian McCall has come down with illness and his #UFCBelfast fight with Neil Seery is off. Seriously.

Epic bad luck for Seery. Retirement fight in Northern Ireland. Perfect ending. Insane. Told McCall vomiting uncontrollably this morning.

The news must be hugely disappointing for Seery. Back in September, he spoke with enthusiasm about the chance to fight McCall, currently ranked as the number five contender in the flyweight division.
My final fight will be against a man whose style I have admired for a long time. The fact that I get to have my final fight in Belfast is just a really nice bonus.
Seery's absence from the card means it takes a major hit in terms of Irish interest. Charlie Ward's UFC debut and Artem Lobov vs Teruto Ishihara are the only remaining bouts with Irish interest.
The illness continues McCall's own run of bad luck. It's his third consecutive fight to be cancelled.
