The UFC have announced another bout for the Belfast card which has ‘Fight of the Night’ written all over it. MMA veteran, Neil ‘2Tap’ Seery, will fight #5 ranked flyweight, Ian ‘Uncle Creepy’ McCall.
The fight announcement comes off the back of McCall (13-5) telling Ariel Helwani that he would be very interested in fighting Seery (16-12).
Ian @Unclecreepymma McCall tells me he'd like to fight @NeilSeeryMMA in Belfast. "I know he'll at least show up to fight & I love Ireland."

UFC matchmaker, Sean Shelby, set the wheels in motion as the Finglas fighter was more than happy to oblige.

Both Seery and McCall are coming off unanimous decision losses to Kyoji Horiguchi and John Lineker respectively. The Californian native will hope to upset the crowd inside the SSE Arena on the night in his attempt to be a title contender once again.
Despite the fact that Seery will enter the bout as an underdog, his Team Ryano coach, Andy Ryan, believes he can compete with a top ranked opponent. Speaking to the Irish Independent;
“Neil is up there with the best of the flyweights in the UFC. He’s got great striking, great cardio and what people don’t know about him is that he’s got great jiu-Jitsu as well… He doesn’t even have time on his side but it tells you how well he’s thought of by the UFC as a 37 year old to still be getting big fights. I’m delighted he’s getting this fight and Ian (McCall) is a great opponent for him. You can guarantee it’ll be a cracker.”
Fan favourite Gunnar Nelson (15-2-1) will headline the card on the night against Dong Hyun Kim (21-3-1) in a five-round welterweight contest.
Tickets for the event will be available to the general public on Friday, September 23 from 10:00 a.m via Ticketmaster and the SSE Arena box office.
