The main-event of UFC 202 was an immediate fight of the year contender.

Both Conor McGregor and Nate Diaz put absolutely everything into five rounds of fighting in the T-Mobile Arena, with the Dubliner avenging his March loss to Stockton's finest, but while Diaz lost, he certainly did not leave the arena as a loser that night.

Aside from confirming what we already knew to be true in terms of unparalleled toughness and ability to absorb damage, Diaz tagged his opponent more than once and had him in deep trouble in the third round. It speaks volumes that McGregor recently uploaded highlights from the main event that also feature some of Nate's moments, with the caption; "You don't see shots like that in MMA."

But it turns out that Nate Diaz actually set three different UFC records with his performance at UFC 202.

Champions.co are reporting that the first record to be broken on the night was the all-time UFC record for total strikes.

Total Strikes Landed In UFC

By landing 252 shots on Conor McGregor, Nate Diaz passed Frankie Edgar as the man with most shots landed in UFC fights.

While he only leads Frankie by 55 strikes landed, should 'The Answer' win his next fight as handily as he did against Chad Mendes then Nate could hold onto that one a bit longer than expected.

Most 'Fight Of The Night' Bonuses Awarded

Conor McGregor vs Nate Diaz was obviously the 'Fight Of The Night' at UFC 202, so both men will have been financially rewarded for putting on such a spectacle.

Nate, however, picked up his 8th FOTN bonus which sees him on top of the leaderboard, one ahead of Frankie Edgar and Diego Sanchez on 7.

And... That FOTN bonus was also enough to set Nate out as the leader in the overall post-fight bonuses.

His 15th post-fight bonus in total puts him one head of Joe Lauzon who currently has 14. Lauzon however still holds the award for most 'Submission Of The Night' bonuses with 6, one ahead of Nate Diaz on 5.

Nate says he's not fighting until the trilogy fight with McGregor, and if that is true - which we have every reason to believe it is - then he could have lost some of those records by the next time he takes to the octagon, but for now he's top dog in terms of striking and bonuses.
