A truly bizarre MMA fight took place on Friday night.
At the Legacy Fighting Association 36 event in California - the fight was part of the card's 'post-lims' - amateur heavyweight Drew Chatman was disqualified after doing a front flip off the spine of the KO'd Irvins Ayala.
Midway through the opening round of fight - and his is where the strangeness of this fight began - Ayala knocked himself out when he attempted a hammer fist on the downed Chatman. While doing so, Ayala's head inadvertently connected with Chatman's knee.
Believing he had won, Chatman decided to celebrate. It was a celebration which would result in his disqualification.
So this happened after we went off air from #LFA36 last night. Thoughts? pic.twitter.com/WNlrNA9Za1
