Holy shit, Max Holloway!
UFC 212 provided an absolutely spectacular main event as Max Holloway pulled off an incredible comeback win to stun the Brazilian crowd into silence, and unify his interim belt for the UFC featherweight title.
Jose Aldo was comfortably ahead after two rounds and put the Hawaiian in real danger on a number of occasions, but in the third round Holloway exploded and dropped Aldo before finishing him with some brutal strikes from the top.
Big John McCarthy gave Aldo every chance to defend himself, and probably should have stopped it earlier, but Holloway was relentless and did enough to stop the fight.
First came a slick combo that caught Aldo off guard.
Then came the ruthless finish.
Sensational.

Holloway is a bad, bad man who did his best Hawaiian Diaz brother impression as he walked through some serious shots from Aldo and came out stronger for it.
He is now the unified champ, something many predicted would happen once Conor McGregor vacated the division, and delivered a crushing blow to Jose Aldo who up until that third round started looked very much like he was on a mission.
To go into Brazil and do that to Jose Aldo... Statement made by Max Holloway.
