Not yet, anyway.
He might have a chequered history with injury withdrawals but rumours today suggesting that former UFC featherweight champion has been forced to withdraw from his UFC 200 bout with Frankie Edgar are off the mark.
Reports emerged late this afternoon from Brazil that Aldo has been struck down with an as-yet-undisclosed injury but it appears that the news is a hoax, with the initial report looking to have been released by a less than reputable news site.
The (poorly translated from Portuguese) report from a site claiming to be respected Brazilian site Combate News stated:
Many are asking about the possible damage to Aldo. There is still nothing official but the rumour is getting stronger. It may be that Jose Aldo has injured himself and is out of the fight against Jose Aldo in UFC 200.
However, according to Brazilian journalist Ana Hissa, the rumours are patently false and Aldo is in training at the time of writing this report.
Rumores de que Aldo estaria machucado e fora do UFC 200 nao sao verdadeiros. Inclusive esta treinando neste momento.
