Watch: UFC's Jon Jones Calls Police Officer A 'Fucking Liar' And 'Pig' After Being Pulled Over

Maybe Jon Jones should just start cycling to the gym, or wherever else he's going, instead of driving.

On Monday night, TMZ published footage of the UFC fighter being stopped by a police officer. The video was recorded late last week.

The police officer - who does come across as a bit of a dick - accused Jones of 'drag racing' his car. The former light heavyweight champion immediately denied the accusation, strenuously, calling the officer an "absolute fucking liar". He also stated, "Pig. You disgust me".

The officer retorted that the feelings were mutual.

Jones later released a statement denying all allegations.

I was not drag racing nor was I speeding. I did not get a speeding ticket. I was driving within the speed limit of the 35mph zone.

I feel that police used a technicality to ticket me for drag racing, for simply revving my engine and acknowledging some of my local fans. I regrettably said words to the police officer out of frustration, for which I apologize for, but I do feel this was excessive.

Jones is currently on probation for a hit and run incident in April of last year. He was subsequently suspended by the UFC because of the felony charge.

The 28-year-old will make his return to the octagon on April 23rd at UFC 197 when he attempts to regain his light heavyweight title from Daniel Cormier.
