UFC 217 was a roaring success.
What very much looked like it should have been the best card of the year ended up exceeding all expectations and is now being talked about as one of the best cards of all time.
Three titles changed hands in three massive fight to close off the night, but there were several other fighters who made a real impression with a lot of eyes on them at Madison Square Garden.
One of those men was Paulo Costa - formerly Paulo Borrachinha - who won his third straight UFC bout via KO against Johny Hendricks.
Costa is an absolute giant and towered over Hendricks, delivering a beatdown until the referee stopped it in the second round, and while Joe Rogan was impressed with the skills he showed in the octagon, himself and Brendan Schaub could not get over how handsome the Brazilian middleweight was while discussing UFC 217 in a special review podcast.
That guy is scary. Even post-USADA scary.
Maybe the best looking dude on the planet. With his shirt off in particular? Dude, when he was standing next to Johny Hendricks at the weigh-ins, I was like 'No, Johny.' You are not a middleweight, this is a big middleweight. Look how much bigger he is than Johny, and sh-sh-sh-shredded too.
He's fucking terrifying. That guy's the future, he's legit as fuck.
To be fair, the guy is a one hell of a specimen.
He is also a seriously dangerous fighter, but as he is not yet ranked in the UFC it may be a while before we see him given a truly tough test with title implications.
The manner in which he disposed of Johny Hendricks suggests the UFC would be foolish not to get him another fight soon. Joe Rogan and Brendan Schaub will be hoping so anyway, that's for sure.
