When it was announced that Bellator and BAMMA would be working together to put on massive show at Dublin's 3 Arena, Irish fans were buzzing at the inclusion of SBG prospect James Gallagher in the poster.
It was a strange situation, as Gallagher had yet to be announced an opponent, but Bellator are making a big deal about 'The Strabanimal' and are pushing him heavily as one of the rising stars of not only their organisation, but of MMA.
The opinion around SBG is similar, Gallagher is tipped for very big things, but he will put his 4-0 professional record on the line on December 19th in Dublin and now he finally knows his opponent.
Gallagher will fight Anthony Taylor in the co-main event of the Bellator/BAMMA event.
Taylor holds a professional record of 1-1, both fights under the Bellator banner, and hails from California. He called out Gallagher on Instagram before, so clearly he had his eyes set one what will be a popular event, and now he's got his wish.
With Dylan 'The Nuke' Tuke also fighting out of SBG against Sean Tobin further adds and more Irish fighters sure to be added to the card, it's going to be an unmissable night for Irish MMA fans.
