'The biggest upset in MMA history' is how Joe Rogan described Holly Holm's victory over Ronda Rousey in the post-fight interview.
Just under a minute into the second round, Holm - the clear underdog with the bookies - hit Rousey with a devastating head kick which put the bantamweight title holder on the canvas.
A flurry of punches later and Herb Dean called a halt to the fight.
The narrative going into this fight was that Rousey would be facing the toughest striker of her career, but given that it was just Holm's third UFC bout, it was likely coming too early for the 34-year-old.
To her downfall, Rousey chased Holm around the octagon, getting hurt badly as she did. Holm landed several telling blows in the first round - which she won.
Rousey went into the fight with the superior ability on the ground, but only managed one takedown, which Holm quickly escaped from.
During an interview with Ariel Helwani after the fight, UFC president Dana White confirmed that Rousey had been transported to hospital to receive treatment for a split lip.
