In an attempt to maximise global profit, the UFC returned to Singapore for the second time for Fight Night 111, which means we had the unusual ability to be able to watch live UFC in the afternoon. Spearheading the card was the main event, featuring Holly Holm's return to the bantamweight division.
Holm had famously ended Ronda Rousey's undefeated streak (and took her women's bantamweight title in the process) with a huge left kick to the face, but she would lose the belt in her first defence against Miesha Tate, and would then be rocked last July by Valentina Shevchenko.
After a brief attempt at the featherweight division, where she controversially lost to Germaine de Randamie, Holm was making her return to bantamweight this afternoon.
Standing in her way was the Brazillian, Bethe Correia who came into the fight with a 10-2 record. One of those defeats was to Rousey.
Correia had called Holm overrated in the buildup to the fight and, going one step further, during the third round she decided to taunt Holm, egging her on to come forward. Something she would almost immediately regret, as Holm would land another huge kick to the head.
"The Ronda Rousey head-kick comes back!"
Gets taunted ?

Social media reacted accordingly...
Bethe Correia literally begged Holly Holm to hit her and boy did she! Holm lands a beautiful head kick then follows up with a punch. Wow!

Absolutely beautiful headkick KO by Holly Holm in third. She's back. The perfect finish for her to get on track again.

While others quickly pointed out the resemblence to the Rousey KO.
Holly Holm just about ended Correiras life with that combo.

Holm will have her crosshairs set on the bantamweight champion and the only other fighter to stop Rousey, Amanda Nunes.
Nunes would be wise not to taunt her.
