The UFC will be returning to Northern Ireland this November. After a nine year wait for a second event in Belfast, UFC Fight Night 99 will be coming to the Odyssey Pavilion SSE Arena, after UFC 72 marked the promotion's first event up north.
According to Ariel Helwani, it will be one of SBG's stable of fighters who will be headlining the event. Icelandic welterweight Gunnar Nelson is slated to fight Dong Hyun Kim on November 19th.
Nelson is coming off a big win at UFC Rotterdam, where he earned the performance of the night in beating Albert Tumenov by submission. He will face Kim who hasn't fought in a year after he pulled out off his UFC 202 bout with Neil Magny. Kim is ranked one spot ahead of Nelson in the official UFC welterweight rankings - with the John Kavanagh trained fighter in 12th.
The fight hasn't officially been announced by the UFC, but with Helwani's record we can expect that McGregor's teammate will be pitching it up in Belfast this November.
