Conor McGregor was running his mouth as usual on the Ultimate fighter this week, reminding Urijah Faber that he's dominated the Welterweight division.
Faber brought up the topic of Frankie Edgar, a man who McGregor is yet to fight, and Conor dismissed him, brandishing the American as a weaker version of Chad Mendes'
It hasn't taken long for Edgar's camp to respond and his manager Ali Abdelaziz took to Instagram tonight to let loose on The Notorious.
He's predicting that McGregor will be a nobody after UFC 194 and that all his success is down to the fact that Dana White is able to exploit him for the good of the UFC, and that Edgar would destroy him if he was given the chance.
Hey @thenotoriousmma you big mouthed leprechaun.
You said on TUF that Frankie Edgar is weak. The only reason you still haven't lost in the ufc is because Dana and Lorenzo made a business decision and made sure you haven't fought Frankie yet. Frankie would smash you on his worst day.
When Aldo dropped out you know that they gave you Chad instead of Frankie because Frankie is always in shape and would put a hole in your head. They wanted to make more money off of you.
After Dec 12 you will be irrelevant. I think you are a smart guy but talking shit about Frankie isn't smart. You might be fighting him soon and the more you talk the more of an ass whooping you will get. I normally don't talk trash because I respect all fighters but when you talk about my brother your gonna get it. Family sticks together.
Strong words there from Abdelaziz who's in the middle of getting Frankie Edgar ready for a fight against McGregors last victim Chad Mendes. He'll certainly be eating humble pie on December 13th if McGregor manages to beat Aldo and Edgar loses to Mendes.
