Frankie Edgar has taken to twitter call out Conor McGregor to fight him when he's ready, and said he will finish The Notorious within the distance.
Edgar volunteered to replace the injured Jose Aldo at UFC189 but was overlooked in favour of Chad Mendes, he approached the octagon in the moments following McGregor's stoppage of Mendes to exchange words with the Dubliner. Last night he took to Twitter to call him out.
'The Answer' engaged in a Twitter Q&A with his followers using a #notakedowndefence hashtag and talk of a fight against the new Interim Featherweight Champion dominated the session.
Edgar also claimed the UFC are protecting McGregor from fighting him, when asked if he'd fight The Notorious in Croke Park he said he'd "fight on the mood if they want".

A McGregor versus Edgar fight is likely at some point, but it might not be for some time. The Notorious is expected to finally fight Jose Aldo in January, if he wins Aldo will be entitled to a rematch so we may to wait to find out if Conor McGregor can beat a wrestler, again.
