Great news for fans of one of the most popular fighters in the UFC today, as Donald Cerrone has finally been rewarded for his impressive win streak by getting a shot at the lightweight title, per reports on Fox Sports.
Cerrone is coming off the back of an eight fight win-streak, most of them being ridiculously entertaining, so a title fight with Rafael dos Anjos had been expected, but Fox Sports are now reporting that the bout has been scheduled for UFC on FOX 17 on December 19th in Orlando, Florida.
MMA journalist Ariel Helwani is excited, and so are we:
That's fun. (RDA back at the scene of his last loss ... ) https://t.co/X5Xa49fghf

Cerrone's last fight was a fantastic head kick TKO against John Makdessi at UFC 187, and his typical Cowboy attitude was particularly enjoyable in the UFC Embedded series in the run-up to that fight, and the Colorado native will be Rafael Dos Anjos' first title defence after his win over Anthony Pettis at UFC 185.
We are also seriously looking forward to what Khabib Nurmagomedov has to tweet in the lead up to this one.
