UFC Fight Night 118 in Gdansk, Poland was not Donald 'Cowboy' Cerrone's first rodeo.
Facing undefeated Liverpool welterweight Darren Till, he suffered what would have been a bitterly disappointing first-round TKO loss which was third defeat in a row, something that has never happened in his career before.
For Till it was a breakout moment. While he was undefeated in his four UFC fights before last night, Cerrone was the first big name and main-event calibre fight, so to get the win in such convincing fashion was a statement.
As Till was giving a euphoric interview to UFC Fight Pass backstage, it was crashed by Donald Cerrone who showed his class by congratulating his opponent and confirming that they would both enjoy a beer in Poland together.
Huge respect between the two fighters.
Cerrone then took to Instagram to express his congratulations towards Darren Till even further, claiming that the Scoucer 'broke the fuck out of his nose' and implemented his game-plan perfectly.
This won't be the last time we see Donald Cerrone in the UFC, but he will be absolutely desperate to stop his three-fight skid whenever he gets the chance.
For someone who prides himself on being an old-school fighter that doesn't like to talk to much and just wants to fight, his actions back that up. Always good to see mutual respect after the fight.
