Former Ultimate Fighter winner Diego Sanchez made his debut at featherweight over the weekend when he took on the impressive Ricardo Lamas.
It's fair to say things didn't go exactly according to plan for the former TUF contestant as he was resoundingly taken apart throughout the fight before eventually losing on a unanimous decision.
Despite losing to a man who's lost to both Jose Aldo and Chad Mendes in the past, Sanchez thought he was in a position to be offering Aldo some advice heading into his unification bout with Conor McGregor at UFC 194.
The American took to Twitter last night to get in touch with the featherweight champ with some less than entirely clear advice.
@josealdojunior u get a chance to see lamas & I fight sat he used the low right kick to the calve under the knee you should use on CM #works

As far as we can tell, he was trying to inform Aldo that a low kick to McGregor's right calf may be effective but, given his recent record in the Octagon, Sanchez probably shouldn't have bothered.
It's worth noting that Sanchez and McGregor have history on Twitter and maybe the American was looking for revenge for this tweet by McGregor in 2013.
@DiegoSanchezUFC Only reason you haven't been cut 2 Bellator, with the other has-beens, is because you defend shots with your nose. 0-4 #CUT
