Former UFC women's bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey will likely return to action before the end of this year, according to UFC president Dana White.
White also announced that he expects her comeback fight to arrive against current champion Amanda Nunes, who ended Misha Tate's brief reign on top with a merciless beatdown at UFC 200 in July.
Speaking to Brazilian publication Globo, White said:
There is a great chance of a Ronda fight with Amanda Nunes and I am very confident that the Ronda will probably fight before the end of the year.
Rousey - once the most dominant female athlete in combat sports, and perhaps even the world, hasn't fought since her destruction at the hands (and feet) of Holly Holm at UFC 193 last November.
White also teased the idea of a fight between Brazilian star Cris Cyborg and Rousey, though that seems unlikely to happen in the coming months.
