As president of the UFC, some expect Dana White to be above taking the bait and responding to some idiots on twitter, but the Boston native has given a his reason for why he doesn't feel the same way, and it's fairly straightforward.
White has taken criticism for some of the replies he has dished out to fans who have complained about the Reebok deal in particular, and has his fondness for dismissing twitter users as 'goofs' has become a regular source of enjoyment for many MMA fans, but Dana doesn't care how others think that a man with as many followers as he has (3.41 million at time of writing) should act.
Speaking on The Seth Davis Show, White explained that if you dish it out, expect it to come back:
I’m in the fight business. People ask me that all the time. ‘Take the high road.’ Nah. The high road isn’t fun. The low road is fun. That’s me. I’m the low-road guy.
My thing with Twitter and social media is you can’t just go on and say stupid stuff to people unless you want some stupid stuff back.
I’m that guy.
White's most prominent twitter kerfuffles mostly stem from a Q & A session back in July where he delighted some fans, and pissed off a few others, which a number of personal jibes that he dished out:
@RealMattSears good more money for food

@Chumluk ur life is screwed up!!! Worry about that goofball

@MarcusStrong21 it's always the idiots with 11 followers

But don't expect him to change anytime soon.
Ya goof.
