"Surprise, surprise, motherfuckers - the king is back."
It sounded like Conor McGregor had been waiting to get that off his chest for quite some time following his victory over Nate Diaz in the pair's rematch at UFC 202.
Turns out, he actually had been. He confirmed as much backstage, with some exuberance, as he crutched off into the sunset following what had amounted to a sensational fight and potentially career-saving win.
In the footage by The Mac Life, McGregor is also heard screaming, "DOUBT ME NOW!" as he passes members of the UFC roster, 41 of whom picked Diaz to repeat his feat and down the Crumlin man once more. Sure enough, it's a glimpse of Dan Henderson, who respectfully picked Diaz via submission in the third round, which sets 'The Notorious' off on a tirade against his detractors - although he does stop for a picture mid-rant.
The UFC's own Ali-Frazier-type rivalry will likely be settled at 155 pounds.
