There has been a noticeable dearth in promotion to what is being touted as the biggest fight in UFC history. Conor McGregor and Khabib Nurmagomedov will face off in the octagon on October 6th, with McGregor looking to reclaim the lightweight belt from Nurmagomedov following the former's hiatus from the sport.

The UFC released the fight which cemented McGregor's legacy onto Youtube over the weekend, the 30-year-old's dismantling of Eddie Alvarez at UFC 205 in November of 2016, but apart from cobbled together fan made trailers there hasn't been much in the way of actual promotion.

There has been however, a lot of videos surfacing online of fighters giving their opinion on who will win the Vegas.

TJ Dillashaw has plumped for the man that infamously christened him Snake on The Ultimate Fighter in 2015.

The current bantamweight champion stated on Brendan Schaub's podcast that when the match up was being talked about he thought Khabib had the edge, but after watching Khabib's win over Al Iaquinta, switched to Conor because of perceived holes in the fighters standing game.

Former boxer Mike Tyson believes that Khabib is set to claim the win. Urijah Faber has picked McGregor to reclaim his belt, with the San Francisco kid arguing that because each round is started standing up, and he is unsure if Nurmagomedov will be able will repeatedly be able to take his opponent down.

Fellow lightweight Kevin Lee has picked McGregor to finish the Dagestani, believing that holes in the Russian's take down game will be exploited by McGregor's striking.

Colby Covington believes McGregor sleeps Nurmagomedov with Georges Saint Pierre stating that the odds are stacked 60-40 in favour of Khabib.

A man who was on the losing side of a McGregor fight, perhaps summed up the feelings to the match up best:

If Khabib does not correct the mistake of sitting back with his chin back going to the side, Conor is going to put his lights out with that left, pretty bad, pretty quickly.

He needs to correct that mistake and learn to relax in the pocket and know that he's safe. Because he's always in danger of getting beat by a guy with knockout power like Conor McGregor.

But Conor McGregor on his back, I don't feel like he has a strong spirit for fighting on the ground.

I don't think Conor has a strong enough spirit to to be able to withstand Khabib's ground attack over and over and over. I have to give the edge to Khabib.

It really seems like the match up is balanced on a knife edge, with fighters picking both McGregor and Khabib to come out on top on October 6th.
