In an interview with Daragh Keany for tomorrow's Sunday World, Conor McGregor's O2 opponent Cole Miller has labelled the Dubliner a 'mental midget who shoots his mouth.'
Miller is usually a reserved character but McGregor clearly seems to have gotten under his skin, adding 'I want to hurt him.'
The American – who has a 21-8 MMA record – acknowledged the huge, 15,000 strong, home support McGregor will have in the O2 on July 19th but spoke about how he plans to use it to his advantage:
I’m seriously considering not having any walk-in music so I can lap up all the shouts and jeers from the crowd. I will not be using earphones to drown out the sound. There will be no gimmicks. They (the crowd) will, rightfully, be shouting for Conor, so I expect a lot of abuse but I will use that to beat him.
Cole claimed that McGregor will need the home advantage to have a chance of beating him but even with that in mind, Cole is still confident:
Conor needs home advantage to have any chance of beating me. If I get him to the floor, he will be tapping out in seconds. I am confident of that.
So now you know, Conor; just stay on your feet. You can read the full interview with Miller in tomorrow's Sunday World.
